High school hockey player dies after ice skate accidentally sliced his neck in collision

A 16-year-old boy has died after he collided with a fellow ice hockey player at a Connecticut high school hockey game on Thursday, January 6.

Teddy Balkind died after every other player’s ice skate slit his neck. The 10th grader of St. Luke’s School, a prep school in Greenwich, had fallen to the bottom and the other player used to be not able to prevent in time.

His dad used to be provide on the recreation against Brunswick School which used to be immediately halted. Medics rushed to lend a hand.

He was once taken to Greenwich Hospital where he later died from his accidents.

His school stated the following day that team of workers’s “singular focal point” was once to handle a “group left devastated.”
